Fierce Full Force Key Points
Our goal is to bring the best of true tour technology to a shaft that the average golfer can actually hit.
The Challenge:
Golfers, especially as they get older, begin to lose distance in their shots. The key to giving them back that length has typically been a lighter shaft and added loft. However, shaft technology for ultra-light shafts has not kept pace with head technology. Added distance from an ultra-light shaft has, until now, often come at the expense of accuracy.
The Solution:
The new Fierce Full Force, which addresses the problems specific to high-MOI heads with a real, measurable low-torque shaft, and the highest gram-for-gram Hoop Strength available on any shaft today.
On Torque:
Torque, a misnomer, actually refers to ‘torsional twisting,’ or the tendency of a shaft to twist along its center axis.
Low torque in a golf shaft is important because it means a lower tendency to twist along the axis, which in turn means a club that’s more likely to square up like it is set up
The Full Force is the only sub-50 gram shaft on the market that can boast an honest low torque measurement, at 3.7 degrees.
How we measure torque:
The torque specification for shafts is the number of degrees the shaft twists under one foot-pound (ft-lb) of torque
The problem with torque measurements has been that any company has been able to obtain virtually any desired reading by simply moving the clamps closer along the golf shaft until they produced a low result. We have set the industry standard by using a “30-inch Beam;” an accurate measurement of the affected length of shaft. (The grip section and the tip are removed from the measurement).
Our methods are transparent, and our measurements reproducible.
On Hoop Strength:
The Full Force boasts the highest gram for gram hoop strength of any golf shaft available today; one and half times greater than the next closest competitor!
Hoop Strength, at its essence, is the measurement of the point at which the carbon will fail when crushed in a vice.
By maximizing Hoop Strength, the tendency of the shaft to ‘ovalize’ is reduced. This means a shaft that holds true to its intended strike plane, and maximum transfer of energy to the ball-- optimized shaft reliability during the swing and through impact, maximized energy transfer and power, and tour-proven accuracy.
Solid feel of the butt, combined with a soft mid-section and a super-active Micro-Mesh™ tip make for a club that feels both exceptionally stable and smooth.
Additional Features:
A 4.5” parallel tip allows for custom fitting between two flexes.
